ANIMAL SAVE MOVEMENT
The Animal Save Movement is a global network of activists working to end animal agriculture through a love-based, non-violent approach. They focus on raising awareness about the realities of animal farming, particularly through vigils and other forms of outreach, aiming to inspire people to make vegan choices and advocate for policy changes.
Through this movement, I document the quiet yet powerful moments of compassion that unfold during vigils outside slaughterhouses as part of the Animal Save Movement. These gatherings are not protests in the traditional sense, they are acts of love, remembrance, and resistance. We all gather to bear witness to the final moments of animals destined for slaughter, capturing the raw emotional truth of their suffering and the human empathy that surrounds them.
Each image is a tribute to the animals whose lives are cut short, and to those who show up to honour them. My work seeks to amplify their voices, evoke empathy, and challenge the normalized violence of the agricultural industry. By sharing these moments on social media, I hope to stir reflection, inspire change, and make the invisible visible.
As distressing and traumatic as these events are to witness, they are also extremely uplifting. To be surrounded by and connect to so many different people all brought together to fight the same battle is truly inspiring and highlights the extraordinary compassion of our cause.
